Blog Article

Welcome to the August edition of This Month in Nemesis! Although in the middle of the holiday season, our team is still working hard on delivering a first-class multichannel e-commerce platform. Here's some of the highlights of the past month:

Improved performance

We always take performance very serious and when we hit a bottleneck, our team is always eager to jump in and tackle it with ideas and brainstorming. In the beginning of the month we decided to benchmark our platform by importing ten thousand fake customers and ten thousand fake customer reviews. The results were shocking - our platform beats the leading platform on the market by magnitude of almost 11%. However, that didn't seem enough for our engineers so they proposed different optimizations, the result of which lead to improving the performance with additional 7%. We used a simple MacBook Pro 2.6 GHz Intel Core i7, with enabled multi-threaded csv import and the results are shown in the table below:

Run Nemesis Competitor
10 000 fake users 810 csv lines per second 690 csv lines per second
10 000 fake customer reviews 710 csv lines per second 600 csv lines per second

Lots of improvements on the cms console

At Nemesis we realize content is the king. And we also know customer is the king too. We believe our customers must be able to modify absolutely any aspect of their website. That's why we spent a lot of time improving the cms console. With the latest version you are now able to preview your website as seen by different customer segments. You are also able to combine content from multiple sources, edit different catalog versions simultaneously and once happy synchronize them. This will result in richer content, engaged customers and increased loyalty. We are preparing a demo video on the latest features so stay tuned and expect news in the next newsletter edition.
